About The Position

At Home Animal Hospital is a busy, community-focused practice looking to add a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to our team. We’re seeking an outgoing, enthusiastic, and compassionate individual who loves animals and people alike — someone who greets every client (and pet!) with a warm smile and plenty of Aloha. Requirements

  • A genuine love for animals — and for the people who care for them.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience (veterinary or medical preferred, but not required).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a busy, multitasking environment.
  • Comfort with computers, phones, and scheduling software.
  • The ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and assist with weighing pets.
  • A willingness to work one weekend day and contribute to a team that supports each other through every busy day.

Responsibilities

  • Be the welcoming face and voice of our hospital — greeting clients in person, on the phone, and via text.
  • Manage multiple phone lines and client communications efficiently and with empathy.
  • Schedule appointments, process payments, and maintain accurate client and patient records using our practice management software.
  • Collaborate closely with veterinarians and technicians to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent client experiences.
  • Provide clear and compassionate client education about our services, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations.
  • Handle retail transactions, assist with pet weight checks, and ensure the front desk and lobby stay welcoming and organized.
  • Support your teammates — we all pitch in where needed to keep things running smoothly.
  • Communicate with warmth, clarity, and confidence
