About The Position

Briarwood Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. This role involves maintaining the hospital reception area, greeting clients and patients, answering questions, triaging concerns, managing calls and emails, scheduling appointments, and processing check-ins, check-outs, and payments. The receptionist will also provide emotional support to clients during difficult times and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. The position requires the ability to tolerate unpleasant odors and noises, and may involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases. Opportunities for virtual and hands-on training and continuing development are available.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
• Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
• Highly organized
• Possess computer skills
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
• Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises
• May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
