About The Position
Black Mountain Animal Hospital is looking for a proactive Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. This role is crucial in providing an amazing experience for both clients and pets, serving as the first and last point of contact. The ideal candidate will use hospitality and tact to ensure clients feel welcomed, comfortable, and supported. The hospital focuses on general practice vet care in a warm, friendly, and highly positive environment, balancing this with a strong focus on technology and in-house system innovation to improve the experience for the veterinary team, pets, and clients.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in the veterinary industry
- Experience with Avimark software is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask with accuracy and efficiency
- A high comfort level typing and utilizing multiple computer systems
Responsibilities
- Greet pet parents and their four-legged friends and ensure a smooth check in and check out experience
- Manage the schedule of daily appointments and walk-ins
- Make calls and communicate via email to other Vet Practices and clients as necessary
- Keep our common areas clean and well stocked
- Provide a high level of hospitality for our pet parents, answer questions and provide information and education as needed
