About The Position
Southern California Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our multi-doctor, full-service hospital. We're searching for someone who enjoys helping people, loves working with pets, and thrives in a high-energy environment where teamwork and exceptional customer service are at the heart of everything we do. As the first point of contact for our clients and patients, you'll play an essential role in creating a welcoming experience while helping our hospital operate smoothly each day.
Requirements
- Previous veterinary receptionist experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
- A positive attitude and collaborative mindset
- High level of computer proficiency
- Outstanding telephone etiquette
- A willingness to work Saturdays as part of a flexible weekly schedule
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Avimark software
- Experience with international health certificates
Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
- Answer multiple phone lines and provide exceptional customer service
- Schedule appointments and help manage daily patient flow
- Review treatment plans with clients and answer general questions
- Process payments and maintain accurate client records
- Support pharmacy operations and prescription fulfillment
- Assist veterinarians and hospital staff as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
- Handle confidential medical records with accuracy and professionalism
