Eastlake Village Veterinary Clinic is looking for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our team in Chula Vista, California. Requirements

  • Previous veterinary receptionist experience is required.
  • At least two years of professional experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • An outgoing, dependable, and motivated personality.
  • A positive attitude and compassionate approach to pets and their families.
  • Strong communication and telephone skills.
  • The ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail when maintaining records and documenting communication.
  • A commitment to a long-term role and continued professional growth.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cornerstone veterinary software is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to client questions clearly and courteously.
  • Schedule appointments and help manage the hospital’s daily calendar.
  • Check clients and patients in and out efficiently.
  • Process payments, review invoices, and communicate charges accurately.
  • Maintain complete and accurate client and patient information.
  • Document client communication and update medical records appropriately.
  • Coordinate communication between clients, veterinarians, and the clinical team.
  • Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding hospital services, products, and general pet-care needs.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
  • Support efficient front-desk and hospital operations throughout the day.
