About The Position

Under the Supervision of the PACE Assistant Manager, this role ensures all visitors and participants are welcomed and screened. The Receptionist will answer telephones, greet, assist, and direct visitors, patients, and other clinic office callers. This position is key to providing a positive first impression for the PACE program.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience working with a frail, elderly population.
  • 1 year of receptionist or front desk experience.
  • High School or equivalent education.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR (American Heart Association) certification.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent Computer skills.
  • Verbal ability for accurate and tactful explanation.
  • Pre-employment requirements include I-9, physical, positive background and reference check results, complete application, new hire orientation, pre-employment PPDs.
  • Compliance with all mandated vaccinations and all boosters is a term and condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Greets people upon arrival, answers telephones, routes callers, and provides information to visitors, staff, and participants.
  • Responsible for checking in all participants and visitors upon arrival to the Day Center.
  • Assists all visitors and participants by providing guidance and directions, and calls for an escort when necessary.
  • Ongoing tracking of daily attendance and monitoring of transportation services as appropriate.
  • Schedules appointments as needed.
  • Is knowledgeable of regulatory requirements and makes recommendations to improve service delivery.
  • Knowledgeable of PACE eligibility criteria and can speak to interested parties of basic PACE criteria.
  • Assists in the care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
  • Provides assistance to PACE Center Leadership as needed.
  • Interfaces, assists, and acts as a liaison between PACE Administration and other departments.
  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
