About The Position
Spartanburg Animal Clinic is seeking a friendly, organized, and people-oriented Veterinary Receptionist who loves helping pets and their families. For over 100 years, Spartanburg Animal Clinic has been a trusted resource for pet owners in the Spartanburg community, focusing on client education, preventive care, and fear-free handling. As the Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, setting the tone for their visit, ensuring smooth operations, and facilitating clear communication between pet owners and the medical team. The ideal candidate is responsible, proactive, a team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary or medical receptionist role (required)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort with computers and a willingness to learn veterinary software
- A responsible, proactive, team-first attitude
- Genuine compassion for pets and the people who love them
Nice To Haves
- Experience with ezyVet is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm, professional welcome
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the daily calendar
- Check clients in and out, process payments, and answer billing questions
- Maintain accurate patient records and enter data into our practice management software
- Keep communication clear between pet owners and the medical team so every visit runs smoothly
- Support the veterinary team with general office tasks
