About The Position

Beaches Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist / Animal Care Attendant to join their team. This full-time role is crucial for supporting the entire hospital and ensuring clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated. The position involves creating a warm environment, managing communications, handling admissions and discharges, processing payments, and maintaining cleanliness. There is an opportunity to learn about veterinary services and assist veterinary staff.

Requirements

Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality is required
Excellent customer service skills
Aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment

Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments

Responsibilities

Create a warm and welcoming environment for patients and pet parents
Answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
Place outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings
Respond and manage email correspondence with clients, referring veterinarians, and internal office messages
Admit and discharge pet patients
Handle invoicing/billing; create estimates, obtain pet owner confirmation, and process payments
Schedule appointments
Provide excellent customer service, putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment
Perform general housekeeping duties, including maintaining the cleanliness of the reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
Willingness to learn about veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
