About The Position

Abel Pet Clinic is seeking an outgoing Client Service Representative to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital. In this fast-paced role, you will create exceptional client experiences, build trust through compassionate service, manage appointments and daily patient flow, handle multi-line phones and in-person interactions, process transactions, and support clients with essential information about our services. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrive in a team-focused customer service environment. Abel Pet Clinic is a well-established, full-service veterinary hospital serving Elk Grove for more than 20 years. Our 2-doctor team provides comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, and wellness care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets, with support from local board-certified specialists in radiology, ultrasonography, surgery, and cardiology. Our facility features digital radiology, digital dental radiology, an in-house laboratory, surgical suite, laser therapy, and supervised hospitalization. We are proud to have Fear Free Certified team members and a dedicated support staff focused on compassionate, stress-free patient care.

Requirements

Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred
Ability to manage a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients
Experience working with veterinary practice management software
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars preferred
Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records
Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team
Ability to remain calm, professional and solution-oriented during busy periods
