About The Position

Saint Francis Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative with a background in veterinary medicine to become the next member of our incredible team. As the face of the hospital, our CSRs greet visitors with warmth and compassion, fostering trust in the veterinary team and ensuring a welcoming, well-coordinated client experience. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in veterinary medicine who is a confident self-starter, highly organized, and thrive in fast-paced environments. The right individual will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities while maintaining a polished, professional client experience. Saint Francis Animal Hospital in Little River is a 3-doctor practice known for its compassionate, client-centered team, advanced dentistry, and strong commitment to the human–animal bond. The hospital operates out of a 5,000 sq ft stand-alone facility with a stable, tight-knit staff who pride themselves on warmth, communication, and high-quality care. Our CSRs play a vital role in supporting seamless client experiences by helping bridge communication between pet owners and the medical team. We're open Monday through Friday only — no weekends — offering true work-life balance just minutes from the beautiful South Carolina coast. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong client service and professional communication skills
  • Experience acting as a liaison between clients and the medical team, with confidence discussing treatment plans and medical information
  • Comfortable managing phones, clients, and administrative tasks simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of veterinary terminology and medical records
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive

Nice To Haves

  • Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage appointment scheduling and maintain an efficient daily workflow
  • Serve as a key liaison between clients and the medical team, ensuring clear and timely communication
  • Deliver empathetic, high-level customer service across a multi-line phone system and in-person interactions
  • Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Respond to client inquiries with confidence, providing clear and informed guidance on services and patient care
  • Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization and attention to detail
