About The Position

Pure Paws Hudson Square is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Practice Manager to provide leadership and structure to their team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff. This role involves working directly with hospital leadership to develop management and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the veterinary industry and prior experience overseeing hospital operations, with responsibilities including leading with clarity, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to the hospital's excellence and the well-being of the animals.   • Comfortable with computers and software, including veterinary practice management systems (PIMS), Microsoft Office, Teams, and Slack.
  • Strong capabilities in: balancing needs of business and staff, organization and prioritization, data management & interpretation, problem-solving, computer systems (our practice management system), and the ability to both formulate plans and drive results on your own and in conjunction with the leadership team.
  • 2+ years of management experience in a veterinary hospital, animal hospital, or medical practice setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, with a primary focus on hospital growth initiatives, including maintaining team focus on client growth and retention activities (e.g., health reminder outreach, forward booking, rescheduling canceled appointments, Google reviews and online reputation).
  • Collaborate with Marketing Lead and Marketing partner to drive successful Marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure practice is offering premium, white glove experience to all clients.
  • Manage hospital operations in collaboration with Partner Doctor, Medical Director, and Operations Director.
  • Personnel management (e.g., hiring, training, development, performance management and resolution of staff conflicts), scheduling, inventory management and administrative duties required to run practice.
  • Guide and coach team members toward continuous improvement, maintaining a strong commitment to the client experience.
  • Demonstrate initiative in balancing the needs of both the business and the staff.
