About The Position

Boreal Veterinary Centre in Edmonton, Alberta is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Ophthalmologist to establish and lead a new Ophthalmology department. The role involves building the department from the ground up with strong mentorship and collaboration from an existing specialist team. Requirements

Diplomate status (ACVO/ECVO) or completion of a residency in veterinary ophthalmology and ability to write board examination.

Responsibilities

Establish and lead the new Ophthalmology service.
Offer diagnostics, medical management, and surgical solutions for ocular conditions in companion animals.
Work closely with Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, and Anesthesiology teams for integrated patient care.
Educate and mentor the veterinary team in ocular health, diagnostics, and surgical techniques.
