About The Position

Guardian Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Board-Certified Oncologist to join their motivated team. This role involves practicing the highest quality medicine and working with exceptionally talented specialists and veterinary support staff. The hospital is a 29,000 sq. ft., 24-hour emergency and specialty facility located in upper Westchester County, NY. The oncology department diagnoses and treats a wide range of cancers in dogs and cats, utilizing advanced treatments such as molecular tumor profiling, a melanoma vaccine, interventional targeted endoscopy, electrochemotherapy, and novel therapies for bladder cancer. The position requires a passion for animals, a desire for continuous learning, and openness to working overnights. Requirements

Board Certified or Board Certified Eligible in Oncology.
Love of animals and a passion to help and heal.
Desire to continually learn and grow.
Must be open to working overnights.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat a wide range of cancers in dogs and cats.
Utilize the latest, most advanced chemotherapy protocols.
Employ molecular tumor profiling to tailor treatment.
Administer a melanoma vaccine.
Perform interventional targeted endoscopy for treating solid cancers.
Conduct interventional treatment of bladder cancer.
Utilize electrochemotherapy (electroporation) for treating certain types of cancer.
Participate in clinical trials, such as those using electrogene transfer (EGT) for cancer immunotherapy.
Offer progressive new therapies for treating urethral/bladder cancer.
Practice the highest quality medicine.
Work collaboratively with a team of specialists and veterinary support staff.
Be open to working overnights.
