About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a collaborative, engaged, and passionate veterinary leader to join our team as Medical Director. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician to lead a dynamic group of emergency and specialty veterinarians while shaping a positive, high-performing hospital culture. The Medical Director partners closely with hospital leadership to foster a strong sense of community, elevate medical quality, and support a thriving, clinician-driven environment. Requirements
- Experienced, self-motivated, and team-oriented
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Passionate about mentorship, collaboration, and clinical excellence
- Comfortable engaging with both internal teams and external partners
Responsibilities
- Uphold and advance medical quality standards, including patient care & safety and client & referring veterinarian satisfaction
- Support hospital-wide quality and operational initiatives
- Foster a collaborative, clinician-led culture and learning environment
- Lead clinician recruiting, engagement, and retention efforts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referring veterinarians through practice visits, Continuing Education (CE) presentations and case consultations
