Partner Veterinary is looking for a Veterinary Inventory Manager to join our Richmond, VA team! Partner Veterinary recognizes the demand that is on LVTs, and this wellness week allows you to rest and relax with a week off after your initial 90 days. The Veterinary Inventory Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight, procurement, and management of all hospital inventory to ensure the consistent availability of medications, supplies, and equipment necessary to support high-quality patient care. This role maintains accurate inventory systems, supports cost-effective purchasing practices, and ensures compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. This position requires a minimum on-site commitment of 30 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., and prioritization of coverage on shipment arrival days. The Inventory Manager collaborates closely with ER and specialty teams to anticipate needs, prevent shortages, and maintain efficient hospital operations. Some travel as necessary.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, veterinary technology, healthcare administration, supply chain management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2–3 years of inventory management, purchasing, or veterinary hospital operations experience
  • Previous experience in a veterinary specialty and emergency hospital strongly preferred
  • Experience with veterinary practice management software (especially Instinct) preferred
  • Experience with procurement, receiving, invoicing, and vendor management
  • Ability to quickly process, analyze, and react to unplanned and emergent medical situations without delay, so as to ensure the safety of team members and patients
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours with limited breaks
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Ability to unpack, stock, and organize shipments
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb stairs throughout the workday
  • Ability to work in storage areas, stockrooms, and clinical environments
