Veterinary Hospital Manager

Western Veterinary PartnersRaleigh, NC
$58,000 - $64,000Onsite

About The Position

Boulevard Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Hospital Manager who brings together operational excellence, a talent for mentorship, and a genuine commitment to team culture. This is a practice with real roots — team members with 20+ years of tenure, lifelong friendships built within these walls, and a community in Raleigh that has trusted Boulevard for decades. We're looking for someone who can honor that legacy while leading the team confidently into its next chapter. As our Hospital Manager, you'll work closely with the Medical Director and regional leadership team, taking ownership of daily operations and guiding the hospital toward continued growth and excellence. This is a role for someone who is organized, people-first, and ready to own their hospital — not someone looking for a hands-off management role.

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience managing budgets, staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day operations.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficient with business software and able to adapt quickly to new systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Veterinary hospital management experience strongly preferred; medical, dental, or healthcare practice management experience also considered.
  • Previous veterinary experience (e.g., Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant, or Client Service Representative) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM), or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions.
  • Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships.
  • Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.
  • Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth.
  • Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

  • Hiring bonus package: $2000 based on credentials
  • CE allowance: up to $1,000 based on credentials
  • Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance and disability
