Veterinary ER Technical Client Liaison - Hybrid Remote

About The Position

As a member of our Communication Center, the ER Technical Liaison triages clinical situations via telephone to determine if the patient requires immediate treatment by our ER service or should be directed to Urgent Care or a Specialty Appointment. The ER Technical Liaison works in collaboration with the ER Veterinary staff and other departments to assess the best course of care based on patient needs and available services. This position is remote, however applicants must live within commuting distance to MSPCA- Angell Boston as it requires intermittent onsite training and work.

Requirements

Approximately 4 years of experience in veterinary emergency and customer service.
Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
Ability to triage emergent client and referral calls and determine the appropriate advisement in an efficient yet compassionate manner.
Ability to sustain accuracy while maintaining urgency and compassion.
Strong communication skills (written, listening, and verbal).
Sustained attention to detail.
Independent problem solving skills.
Ability to convey empathy for our clients and the animals in our care.
Strong computer and phone skills required.
Must live within commuting distance to MSPCA- Angell Boston.

Nice To Haves

CVT greatly preferred.
Previous veterinary customer service experience.
At least 4 years working in an ER setting is a plus!
