About The Position
MedVet’s Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program (ECMP) is a paid, immersive, one-on-one training program designed for new or recent veterinary graduates to build confidence in emergency medicine. The program combines mentored ER experience with specialty rotations, aiming to enhance clinical skills within a collaborative, veterinarian-owned and -led network. Upon successful completion, participants transition into a full Emergency Clinician role within a multi-specialty organization focused on advancing pet healthcare.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Licensed (or license-eligible) to practice veterinary medicine in the state of your assigned hospital
- Passionate about emergency medicine and continuous learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Two letters of recommendation from clinical faculty familiar with your skills and professionalism
- Pass a background check and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Gain immersive, one-on-one training in emergency medicine.
- Participate in mentored ER experience.
- Complete specialty rotations in Critical Care, Radiology, Internal Medicine, and Surgery.
- Engage in didactics and utilize medical journals and textbooks via OVID.
- Receive POCUS Training.
