About The Position

We are hiring a full-time DVM Educator for our Veterinary Technician program. This role offers a unique opportunity to transition from traditional clinical practice to a rewarding career in education. You will split your time between delivering didactic classroom instruction using an established curriculum and providing hands-on surgical teaching. You will mentor and shape the next generation of veterinary professionals.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Veterinarian in the state where the campus is located.
  • Three (3) years of experience as a DVM, including surgical experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills (word processing, presentations).

Nice To Haves

  • No prior teaching experience required — we'll train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver didactic classroom instruction using an established curriculum.
  • Prepare lectures and practical demonstrations for students.
  • Evaluate student performance and maintain grades.
  • Monitor student success and implement retention strategies.
  • Advise and mentor students.
  • Perform live surgeries (spay, neuter, dental, and other soft tissue procedures) as teaching demonstrations.
  • Supervise and coach students during surgical labs.
  • Maintain surgical logs and teaching records in accordance with state requirements.
  • Monitor student attendance and maintain records.
  • Coordinate guest speakers, field trips, and clinic visits.
  • May assist with supplies and equipment inventory.
