About The Position

Bond Vet is building the next generation of veterinary clinics from the ground up and is looking for a compassionate Vet Assistant to join their team. The Veterinary Assistants partner with Veterinarians and Vet Techs to deliver exceptional care to pets and pet parents. They provide a high level of compassion while interacting with clients and supporting cohesive teams in whatever is needed, from scribing during visits to assisting with procedures. The ideal candidate is efficient, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team member who is passionate about providing quality care to pets. Bond Vet and Small Door Veterinary merged in July 2026 to build a more connected, accessible, and compassionate veterinary care experience across routine, primary, and urgent care. The combined organization will span more than 55 clinics across major Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest markets, serving over half a million pets. This role will play an important part in shaping the next chapter of the combined organization and advancing the shared mission to transform veterinary care.

Requirements

1+ year of experience working as a veterinary assistant or kennel assistant
A working knowledge of veterinary terminology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to multitask with accuracy and efficiency
A high proficiency for typing and utilizing multiple computer systems and capturing recommendations made during the course of a visit
A passion for pets!

Responsibilities

Scribe for our Veterinarians during visits
Support medical team members with surgeries, x-rays, treatments, and other procedures
Compassionately handle and restrain pets for exams
Record and report on patient symptoms
Clean, restock and maintain clinic common areas and exam rooms
Clearly communicate pricing estimates and treatment plans, serving as a guide through the client’s visit experience
Assist with client interactions, walk-ins, calls, scheduling, and client education as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by your team leaders
