About The Position

VCA Pleasant Bay Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time, experienced Veterinary Assistant to join their team. This hospital has been serving pets and their owners in the lower cape area since 1975. It is a full-service veterinary hospital offering medical services, bathing, wellness exams, preventative care, diagnostic services, spays, neuters, dental procedures, digital radiography, and advanced surgical orthopedic services. Requirements

• Experienced Veterinary Assistant
• Positive and motivated attitude
• Ability to rise above obstacles
• Willingness to wear multiple hats
• Ability to work as a team
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or technician in training

Responsibilities

• Physical examinations, patient assessment, and recovery
• Procedural anesthesia and monitoring
• IV fluid administration and CRI calculations
• Hands Free Radiology and diagnostic imaging
• Client communications and discharge
