About The Position
VCA Shoreline Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center is hiring a full time Veterinary Assistant to join our overnight team! We are seeking an individual who is positive, energetic, eager to learn, and works well on a team. VCA Shoreline is a state-of-the-art medical facility providing a range of specialty, critical care and emergency services exclusively for dogs and cats. We deliver the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners. Located in Shelton, our veterinary specialists, technicians and pet-friendly support staff are trained to the highest standards. Their thorough knowledge of the latest procedures and medicines ensures that our patients receive the best in preventive and healing care.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Responsibilities
- Providing nursing care for all inpatient's
- Collecting patient histories & physical exams
- Medication refills, and pet parent communication
- Proficient in medical calculations
- Venipuncture / IVC placement
- Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
- Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
- Providing compassionate care for all patients
- Other duties as assigned
