Experienced Veterinary Assistant
About The Position
Coweta Animal Hospital offers a range of veterinary services including physical examinations, spay/neutering, vaccinations, dental care, surgical care, digital radiology, heartworm prevention, and flea and tick control. We pride ourselves on our supportive staff who provide high-quality healthcare with integrity and compassion. Our hospital operates Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. The role involves various tasks such as pet restraint, triaging incoming patients, collecting and analyzing lab samples, diagnostic imaging, managing and providing nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases, administering medications, communicating treatment plans to clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management. The position requires the ability to tolerate unpleasant odors and noises, and may involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases. The company offers opportunities for growth through virtual and hands-on training and continuing development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant
