About The Position

The Veterinary Assistant supports patient care and the medical team at Seminole Trail Animal Hospital. The role involves hands-on care for animals, helping veterinarians and technicians maintain an efficient workflow, and supporting clients with scheduling, payments, and communications. The Veterinary Assistant also maintains the hospital, performs clinic upkeep, and helps maintain equipment. The position is full-time and on-site in Winter Springs, Florida, with a base pay range of $18 to $21 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of hands-on veterinary assistant experience.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Confidence and skill handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills, including laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, and radiology.
