Veterinary Assistant (full time)
About The Position
The Village Vet is looking for a compassionate, eager Veterinary Assistant to join our team, help support our clients, and make a difference within veterinary medicine through empathy, and teamwork. Requirements
- Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred.
- Strong diagnostic, technical, and communication abilities.
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Providing compassionate care and handling for patients of all sizes and temperaments.
- Preparing and maintaining exam rooms, surgical suites, and equipment.
- Performing diagnostic tests, such as lab work and radiography, under supervision.
- Educating clients on basic pet care and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring a clean and organized clinic environment.
