About The Position
We are seeking an experienced full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our Emergency team. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. In this position, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
Requirements
- Experienced full-time Veterinary Assistant
- Believer in the possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care
- Expertise and technical know-how to make high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care happen
- Ability to support Doctors and Technician team
- Ability to create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Emergency team with patient triages and exams
- Assisting the Emergency team with diagnostics (radiography/CT)
- Assisting with Emergency surgeries - patient prep and prep of the surgical suite
- Some reception duties, including answering the phones and checking in/billing out emergency clients
- Providing compassionate care and comfort for hospitalized pets.
