About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Assistant for its Neurology service. The role helps provide treatments for stable hospitalized patients and supports stable outpatient diagnostics and treatments. The assistant works with technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients receive optimal care and maintains open communication with Neurology Clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake and triage.
• Set up and troubleshoot the MRI room and machine.
• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment, primarily MRI, and assist with capturing radiographs and other diagnostic images.
• Perform venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement according to associate level.
• Provide clients with clear and concise discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate records, including patient history, treatment details, and client communication.
• Assist with completing cost estimates.
• Perform diagnostics, including CBC, Chem Panel, NOVA, iSTAT, and UA.
• Work with technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients receive optimal care.
• Maintain open communication with Neurology Clinicians.
