VCA Lewiston Animal Hospital is seeking a talented Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join their medical team full time. The hospital has been serving the community for over 80 years and 30 years in its current location. They are centrally located, with a variety of amazing restaurants, and just a short drive to ocean beaches, numerous state parks, and hiking trails. The team has a shared devotion to providing progressive medicine with compassion as a driving force and is eager to welcome a like-minded individual. Requirements
- Experienced Veterinary Assistant
- Credentials (CVT, RVT, LVT) are desired to utilize knowledge invested in time and talent.
Responsibilities
- Support Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
- Win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient.
- Utilize skills including, but not limited to: Physical examinations and patient assessment, Anesthesia monitoring, Surgical preparation and assisting, Dentistry, Radiology, Laboratory work, Venipuncture, Catheter placement, Pharmacy, Patient recovery, Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals.
