About The Position
Greater Staten Island Veterinary Services is seeking a hard-working, motivated Veterinary Assistant to join their busy emergency and surgery practice. This role supports doctors and technicians in facilitating patient treatment and examination, ensuring a safe and smooth ER experience. The practice is a multispecialty facility with board-certified specialists and access to various other specialties through affiliated practices. They emphasize a supportive, collaborative, fun, and friendly team environment focused on providing the highest standard of care.

Responsibilities
- Provide support to doctors and technicians
- Restrain patients for exams and procedures
- Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing
- Monitor and document patient’s vital signs
- Assist with obtaining radiographs
- Properly use and maintain hospital equipment
- Helps keep hospital clean, neat and stocked
- Walk dogs as directed
- Feed patients as directed
