About The Position

Briarwood Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join their fast-paced, progressive 3-doctor small animal practice in Little Rock, Arkansas. The practice offers a wide range of services including Preventative Care, Surgery, Urgent Care, High Speed Dentistry, Cold Laser Therapy, In-House Diagnostics, Digital radiology, Ultrasonography, Medical and/or Vacation Boarding, and Grooming. This role involves direct patient care and client communication.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-year experience as a Veterinary Assistant preferred
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Must be able to properly restrain pets
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Nice To Haves

Proficient in sample collection
Obtaining medical histories
Processing laboratory tests
Radiographs
Anesthesia monitoring

Responsibilities

Pet restraint
Triage incoming patients
Collection and analysis of lab samples
Diagnostic imaging
Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases
Administration of medications
Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
Surgical preparation and assistance
Anesthetic management
