Katella Animal Clinic, a busy general-practice veterinary clinic in Anaheim, California, is seeking an experienced, organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join its full-time team. The Veterinary Assistant supports veterinarians and technicians in caring for dogs and cats, communicating with clients, performing laboratory testing and medical nursing, and maintaining accurate patient records. Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working in a veterinary setting.
- Organized, compassionate, and service-oriented.

Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians and technicians to help ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
- Perform general laboratory testing, including complete blood count, chemistry, urinalysis, and ear cytology.
- Communicate with clients about preventative health and medical questions.
- Perform all aspects of medical nursing for dogs and cats.
- Obtain detailed medical histories and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
- Use appropriate restraint techniques for cats and dogs.
- Follow all required protocols.
- Perform client service representative and reception duties as assigned.
