Experienced Veterinary Assistant
About The Position
The Veterinary Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the clinic, helping provide high-quality patient care and ensuring clients feel heard, supported, and confident in their pets’ care. The role involves assisting with veterinarian-recommended treatment plans, providing hands-on care, keeping patients comfortable and safe, and helping make visits as positive and stress-free as possible. The Veterinary Assistant communicates compassionately with clients, answers questions, provides education, and helps explain pets’ treatment and care. They work closely with veterinarians and other team members, assist with behind-the-scenes clinic tasks, and contribute to an organized, efficient, and supportive workplace. The position is suited to an experienced, dependable, organized, and energetic team member who is willing to take initiative and continue developing their veterinary skills.
Requirements
- Previous veterinary experience and comfort working in a clinical environment (required).
- Genuine interest in veterinary medicine and patient care, including understanding the importance of supporting clients as well as animals.
- Confident, compassionate communication with clients and coworkers.
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude and stay calm during busy or hectic periods.
- Ability to work well with a team and notice tasks that need attention.
- Dependability, organization, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities
