About The Position
VCA All Pets Animal Hospital is seeking a veterinary assistant to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. This is a full-time position requiring weekdays and two weekends a month. The mission is to build client confidence through outstanding service, enabling exceptional patient care. The role involves supporting the technician and doctor teams.
Requirements
- Ability to restrain and assist in patient exams and routine procedures.
- Skill in taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
- Capability to fill prescriptions (as allowed by law).
- Proficiency in performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Ability to provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
- Experience in maintaining medical records.
- Willingness to assist Doctor and Technician staff.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a veterinary hospital setting.
- Familiarity with veterinary software for medical records.
Responsibilities
