Veterinary Assistant
About The Position
VCA Westcreek Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to support its Doctor and Technician teams. The role focuses on creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients and delivering an outstanding client experience while helping provide exceptional patient care. Responsibilities
- Restrain patients and assist with examinations and routine procedures.
- Take detailed medical histories and patient vital signs.
- Fill prescriptions as allowed by law.
- Perform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
- Maintain medical records.
- Assist Doctors and Technicians as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe hospital environment.
- Help create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients and deliver an outstanding client experience.
