About The Position

Genoa Animal Hospital, a full-service small-animal practice in Genoa, Illinois, is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant. The hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, including wellness and preventive medicine, dentistry, diagnostics and imaging, surgery, urgent and emergency care, and laser therapy. The team emphasizes compassionate care, technical expertise, individualized attention, and lasting relationships with clients.

The ideal candidate has experience assisting with anesthesia, dental cleanings, and surgery, and is comfortable interacting with clients. The role involves supporting veterinarians with patient care, safely handling animals, helping maintain accurate records, educating clients, and keeping the work environment clean and organized. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekends.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant.
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
