About The Position

Modern Animal is seeking a Veterinary Assistant in Berkeley to provide high-quality general practice care and help create a compassionate, inclusive, and human-centered clinic environment. The role involves using a full technical skill set, including dental procedures, or developing skills in that area. The assistant collaborates with a supportive team, builds trusting relationships with clients and coworkers through honesty and empathy, and represents Modern Animal as a compassionate partner in the community.

The position is suited to someone with at least two years of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related role, strong general practice or dental experience (or a desire to grow in that area), and a commitment to integrity, empathetic communication, and improving veterinary medicine. The pay range is $25.30–$29.90 per hour. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may also be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related role.
• Strong general practice or dental experience, or a passion for developing in this area.
• Communicate with empathy and act with integrity.
