Requirements
- Experienced in veterinary assistant duties and committed to delivering high-quality care
- A calm, compassionate presence for both patients and clients
- A team player who communicates clearly and works well with others
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking in a clinical setting
- Eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a positive hospital culture
Responsibilities
- Keeping accurate medical records and helping answer client questions
- Prepping patients for exams and surgeries
- Administering medications as directed
- Assisting with lab testing (blood, fecal, urine, etc.)
- Cleaning and sanitizing surgical tools, kennels, and exam areas
- Monitoring post-op patients and reporting any changes
- Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures
- Helping educate pet parents on meds, treatments, and care
- Partnering with Credentialed Technicians and DVMs to provide top-tier care
