Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary practice or animal healthcare setting
- Confidence handling and restraining companion animals safely and compassionately
- Experience collecting laboratory samples and performing technical veterinary assistant duties
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- A dependable work ethic and a positive, team-focused attitude
- Availability to work every other Saturday
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Avimark software is helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with appointments, treatments, and procedures
- Comfortably and safely handle animals during examinations and medical care
- Prepare vaccines and support patient treatments under veterinary direction
- Collect and process diagnostic samples for in-house testing and outside laboratories
- Keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and equipment clean, stocked, and organized
- Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation
- Educate clients on patient care instructions and assist with follow-up communication
- Work collaboratively to provide an outstanding experience for both clients and patients
