About The Position

All Pets Veterinary Hospital is seeking veterinary assistants who want to feel valued and make a difference in the lives of people and their pets. Our Veterinary Assistants begin at an entry-level position. A typical day requires stocking and cleaning of the entire hospital. As the veterinary assistant learns the flow of the hospital, progression to animal restraint and assisting other support staff is required. You will interact with pets and their owners, so customer service skills are key. You will work directly with the veterinary team to assure patients and clients receive the best care possible. Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases. Opportunities for growth are available through virtual and hands-on training and continuing development.

Requirements

Computer skills (paperless practice)

Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset
Ability to receive constructive feedback in a professional manner
A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent
Must be 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 1-year experience preferred
Flexible scheduling Monday through Friday
A willingness to grow in the Veterinary field
Avimark experience
Experience working in an AAHA accredited veterinary hospital

Responsibilities

Stocking and cleaning of the entire hospital
