Requirements

Experience in a Veterinary Assistant or Technician role
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively
Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities
Accurate record-keeping skills
Basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, and examination and operating rooms
Restrain animals during examination and laboratory procedures
Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
Run in-house labs and prepare samples appropriately for sending out
Monitor and care for animals after surgery
Provide extraordinary customer service as you check in clients, start the SOAP notes for your doctor, and communicate effectively with all clients and team members.
Give medication or immunizations that veterinarians prescribe
Assist in collecting blood, urine, and tissue samples
