About The Position
Valhalla Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join their team. This role involves providing personal, loving care to animal patients and supporting pet owners. The hospital is equipped with advanced medical capabilities including an in-house laboratory, pharmacy, and radiology, and utilizes laser therapy for pain reduction and recovery. The Veterinary Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to patient care, client communication, and hospital operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year experience as a Veterinary Assistant preferred
- Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
- Must be able to properly restrain pets
- Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
- Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises.
- May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.
