Requirements

Strong animal handling and restraint skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Commitment to exceptional patient care and client service
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
1–3 years of veterinary clinic experience preferred
Experience monitoring anesthesia and supporting surgical procedures preferred

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
Obtain and record patient histories and vital signs
Collect blood, urine, and other laboratory samples
Perform laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratories
Administer medications as directed
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
Take and process radiographs
Educate pet owners on treatment plans, medications, nutrition, and preventive care
Maintain accurate medical records
Ensure exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care
