About The Position

Benton Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join their team. This is a fast-paced general small animal practice offering a wide range of services including preventative care, surgery, urgent care, high-speed dentistry, cryotherapy, in-house diagnostics, therapy laser, and acupuncture. The Veterinary Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-year experience preferred
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Must be able to properly restrain pets
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.

Nice To Haves

Proficient in sample collection
Obtaining medical histories
Processing laboratory tests and radiographs
Anesthesia monitoring

Responsibilities

Pet restraint
Triage incoming patients
Collection and analysis of lab samples
Diagnostic imaging
Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
Administration of medications
Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
Surgical preparation and assistance
Anesthetic management
