About The Position
Heritage Pet Hospital is opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art 6,000 sq. ft. facility soon and is seeking a Veterinary Assistant. This role is ideal for someone passionate about veterinary medicine, attentive to detail, and eager to learn new medical skills. The ideal candidate can comfort animals, monitor patients, maintain a clean environment, and transition seamlessly between tasks. This position offers the opportunity to be busy, learn continuously, and make a daily difference in the lives of pets and their owners. Heritage Pet Hospital is recognized for its collaborative team environment, where professionals support each other and prioritize exceptional patient care. The hospital features seven veterinarians, a diverse caseload, and a culture focused on learning, growth, respect, and high-quality medicine. The new facility will provide expanded treatment areas, improved workflow, and advanced equipment.

Responsibilities
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care
- Obtaining patient histories and gathering medical information
- Helping with diagnostics, treatments, and laboratory procedures
- Monitoring hospitalized and surgical patients
- Administering medications and treatments as directed
- Providing client education and support
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe medical environment
- Restraining and comforting patients during exams and procedures
- Supporting treatment, surgery, and hospitalization workflows
- Being a reliable teammate who jumps in wherever help is needed
