About The Position

VCA Ocean County Animal Hospital Group, a 3-location, 13-doctor hospital group, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Veterinary Assistant. This individual will potentially support the Fischer and Ocean County locations. The hospitals are AAHA accredited and utilize new medical innovations to provide high-quality patient care, including full digital x-ray, comprehensive ultrasound, in-house lab, access to boarded specialists, cautery, laparoscopic services, therapeutic cold laser, and exotics medical and surgical treatment. Collaboration is key, and the team is dedicated to helping pets live long, healthy lives through a teaching culture and supportive leadership. Requirements

  • Experience and credentials (for salary determination)
  • Ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessment
  • Ability to conduct laboratory work
  • Ability to perform venipuncture
  • Ability to assist with pharmacy operations
  • Ability to manage patient recovery
  • Ability to provide compassionate care of hospitalized animals

  • Support Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
  • Win the confidence of every pet parent by delivering an outstanding client experience.
