About The Position

Skylos Sports Medicine, a BluePearl Partner, is growing and expanding our services in Ellicott City! We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team. The Internal Medical Service attends to a wide variety of cases and manages complex long-term disease processes. Assistants in this service will assist their team in all medical and endoscopic procedures associated with maintaining and stabilizing their patients.

Responsibilities

Calmly and gently approach and handle our patients according to safety protocols and our core values
Identify abnormal pathology
Understand our hospital estimates and can clearly present and explain them to our clients
Have patience and empathy to address client concerns
Educate clients in the areas of Internal Medicine and can provide exceptional care for our patients
Prepare medications and our patients/clients for discharge with concise directions for our clients
Support your Internal Medicine team in all aspects of care for your patients

Full-time CVT associates also receive 8 hours of CE paid hours each year.
Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year.
Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours.
Newly hired associates will receive a pro-rated amount of any CE benefit for which they are eligible.
