About The Position

CareVet by Interstate is seeking a part-time veterinarian to join its small-animal practice in Little Rock, Arkansas. The role offers a collaborative, long-tenured team, clinical support, schedule flexibility, and the opportunity to deliver high-quality veterinary care in a modern facility. The schedule is 18–20 hours per week, working two weekdays and every other half-day Saturday.

The hospital is equipped with ultrasound, radio and CO₂ laser surgery, high-speed dental equipment, and interpretive ECG. Compensation includes a base salary plus production and a signing bonus. Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree.
• Licensure in the state or states where the candidate will work.
• Ability to show compassion to pets and their owners.
• Dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks.
• Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about an animal’s wellbeing.
• Strong fondness and understanding of animals.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of animal behavior.
• Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research, and surgery of animals.

Responsibilities

• Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems.
• Treat and dress wounds.
• Perform surgery on animals.
• Test for and vaccinate against diseases.
• Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines.
• Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments.
• Prescribe medication.
• Collaborate closely with team members to provide high-quality care.
