About The Position

Cascade Pet Hospital is seeking a compassionate Veterinarian to join their close-knit team in Shoreline, Washington. As a smaller, community-focused practice, they provide individualized care and personalized service. The culture is built around collaboration, respect, flexibility, and inclusivity, with a strong emphasis on work-life balance. The hospital is well-established, paper-light, and continuously invests in its facility and medical equipment, featuring four exam rooms, a sterile surgical suite, a dedicated dental treatment area, an isolation ward, a digital radiology suite, an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, a therapeutic K-Laser, an ultrasound, new surgical lighting, and new computer systems. They perform a high volume of dental procedures and have team members with special interests in dentistry. Future equipment upgrades are planned. They do not offer boarding or grooming services to maintain focus on medical care. The team includes one veterinarian, one Licensed Veterinary Technician, six experienced support staff members, a Professional Hospital Manager, and a Dedicated Regional Manager. Two staff members are currently enrolled in LVT school, with two more planning to start soon. The team is passionate about continuing education and providing the highest standard of care, utilizing Fear Free® and low-stress handling techniques. The entire team is Cat Friendly Certified. They practice high-quality, gold-standard medicine emphasizing compassion, collaboration, strong communication, and individualized patient care. Appointment times are 30 minutes, adjustable as needed, allowing veterinarians to practice thoughtfully. The Chief of Staff, Dr. Taylor, is eager to provide additional training and support in surgery or dentistry to an experienced veterinarian. Typical schedules include 1-2 surgical days per week with 2-3 surgeries/procedures per morning followed by afternoon appointments, or 15-17 appointments per day on appointment days. Full-time opportunities are available with a typical schedule of four days per week, or three days per week. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM, and the clinic is closed on weekends. They regularly donate to Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary and have sponsored Seattle Area Feline Rescue for nearly a decade, also participating in local community events. Shoreline, Washington, offers a balance of city convenience and natural beauty.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in performing dental procedures.
  • Experience in performing surgeries.
  • Proficiency in high-quality, gold-standard medicine.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to individualized patient care.
  • Experience with Fear Free® and low-stress handling techniques.
  • Cat Friendly Certified (Veterinarian, Veterinary Professional, or Advocate).
  • Willingness to provide and receive additional training and support.
  • Ability to work a schedule of four days per week or three days per week.
  • Ability to work clinic hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM.
