About The Position

ArkVets is seeking a Veterinarian (DVM) to join their team. This role involves seeing a variety of cases, from complex and unusual to routine preventative care for puppies and kittens. The ideal candidate will be motivated, eager to learn, and enjoy client education to ensure the best care for pets. ArkVets is a growing, thriving group of hospitals offering a hybrid model of high-quality general practice with a dedicated urgent care service. They provide ongoing training and have leadership paths for doctors. Their hospitals are equipped with modernized services such as CT, endoscopy, full in-house labs, ultrasound, and digital radiology. They follow AAHA standards for elective surgeries and dentistry. The role involves performing consultations for sick and well pets, diagnostics, elective and emergency surgeries including dentistry, and other medical/surgical treatments. There is no on-call duty and the practice is closed on Sundays.

Requirements

State Veterinary Board License must be in good standing prior to the start date.
Flexible work schedule, with availability to work some weekends and holidays
Hours of availability between 8AM and 8PM
Great attitude and communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with CT, endoscopy, ultrasound, and digital radiology
Experience with AAHA standards for elective surgeries and dentistry
Dry humor and dad joke enthusiasts

Responsibilities

Performing consultations for both sick and well pets
Conducting diagnostics
Performing elective and emergency surgeries including dentistry
Providing other medical/surgical treatments
Mentoring junior vets and techs
