About The Position

Join an electrical contractor supporting the construction of a large-scale data center in Avondale, AZ. This role provides hands-on safety leadership for electrical construction activities, ensuring safe work practices while supporting one of the fastest-growing sectors in commercial construction. The Construction Safety Manager will partner closely with electricians, field supervision, and project leadership to oversee electrical installations, material handling, elevated work, and daily construction operations while maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.

Requirements

OSHA 30 Construction Certification
5+ years of construction safety experience
Experience supporting electrical contractors
Experience conducting field inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring
Strong understanding of OSHA construction safety standards

Nice To Haves

Data center construction experience
NFPA 70E knowledge or experience
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience
Electrical commissioning or energization experience
CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential

Responsibilities

Oversee daily safety activities for electrical construction operations
Maintain a strong field presence alongside electricians and project supervision
Conduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and risk assessments
Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
Support electrical installation, conduit, cable, equipment, and infrastructure activities
Monitor temporary power and electrical safety practices
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
Maintain safety documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance records
Partner with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project
